Kinsey
Commissioned as a memorial for Kinsey, a Beagle/Terrier mix. The client and I decided that a simple blue background would compliment the portrait and make Kinsey appear more the center of interest, rather than including the busy background in the picture. We also chose to remove the blue halter in the painting, but keep the signature leather collar Kinsey is wearing.

Tazo
Tazo looks like a big dog trapped inside a compact little body, just waiting to spring up. It is a great picture taken by the owners, set up expressly for the portrait. They did a great job choosing elements for the background, creating a lush scene of fabric, texture and color. Tazo looks like a prince amid such luxery!

Sandy
Taken a month before Sandy had to be put to sleep, this 17 year old puppy was always playful, even in old age. This picture is a great comfort to his owner.

Max
The sunlight behind Max's head creates a great frame for his face, as well as the ivy pattern on the rug.

DeeDee
This image was used as a part of a composite painting of Dexter and DeeDee. They would not pose together, so a collage had to be made using two separate photographs.

Dexter
Here is the other half of the Dexter and DeeDee composite painting.
