The Process

MeAtWork.jpgI am a traditionally trained painter who paints largely with only the three primary colors, plus white.   I use blue, red, and yellow, to make my blacks and greys resulting in rich pigmentation in the painting.  There is never a dull black, grey, or brown, for each is made with pure color, mixed from scratch.  No two colors are exactly alike.  I mix them each independently to create a painting that comes to life with a myriad of colors, but is still very realistic.

Enjoy these photos of my studio where the pet painting magic happens!  A detailed description of how I create my pet portraits is coming soon-- it all starts with a simple ruler and a pencil!
